Same story.  Second time somebody from a scam has tried to get money from me from craigslist.  First was a nanny position I ws trying to get to help out with our bills, second was a house with this number and same story about how they are in africa doing God's work.  I am  Christian and I think it is horrible that these people are using God and His work as a cover story to rob people.

OmG... They almost got me... Thank GOD for this site and posts!!! Something told me to google this number and find out if it was a scam or not. This site is a life saver. Please dont be a  victim to this craiglist scam people, same stories diffrent cities smh!! Them they had the nerve to use GOD  as en excuse i, sure they will burn in hell for that one. The numbers they gave me were +2347043943494 or 0112347043943494 I  think someone should report this to the police asap. I feel like i've given them too much information already...

I am so glad that I found this site. I too responded to an ad on craigslist, for a lease property in Plano, TX. Seemed to goog to be true; $1,000 a month rent, $800 deposit, water and gas included in the rent, but me being the real careful person that I am I did my research! Same story owner moved to West Africa for a missionary position. Emailed me to fill out a "questionaire" and what caught my attention was the question, " Would you be willing to send deposit before receiving the keys" So I looked into it further, I drove to the address of the house they sent me, and it was a super nice home, huge. It had a for sale sign on it, and the house was listed for $320,000. So that also caught my attention, who in their right mind leases a house for 1,000 thats worth more then $320k. So I called the tax office and ask who the tax payer was, same name as the person that emailed me, so be careful people, they are getting a little smarter. Now they are finding houses for sale online, uploading the images that are on the realator site's, and thay are now finding out who the property tax payers are and using their information.

Here is the latest, and i almost fell for it.. he seems to be gloating on his name now.
