yes,its from india...if you want more info. regarding this Microtech,i can help you with that...it is much more complicated than you can think of...but first, i have to verify whether you are really going to take any serious actions against them....i don't know whether you will believe me or not,but le'me tell you that i was an ex-employee of this company....and you can verify that....
I received a call from a foreign sounding person stating they were from MicroTech Support asking and stating the same information stated in the other complaints. He gave me two websites to contact to verify his authenticity and to allow him access to my PC to fix the problem. I almost fell for this scam until he gave me the name James Smith when his accent was clearly not American and very thick. As I was questioning him I googled the phone number and the company name he gave me which I found to be a scam. I am concerned as to how my phone number was obtained by him. He told me my virus protection was not working which I found to be untrue.
Received call from Jacob (said he was a microsoft technician) from this number saying they had an error message from my computer. He directed me to a website that if I had downloaded their program would have given them access to my computer. He even asked me if I did financial transactions from my computer and to stop because my computer was unsecure until they fixed the problem. I declined his help. 10/11/13
