Last four digets of acct I transfered money too 9145 Googled the phone number and came up with nothing but people who paid them and never got service
I just received a call from a Gary Robinson 239-247-5552 stating he was calling from Microsoft because my computer has a malicious virus..He was no Gary Robinson he had a thick Indian accent. It's a scam.
I feel sorry for those who are questioning as to whether this is a legit operation... Come on!! They are cold calling people out of the blue, offering unsolicited services, and then either present themselves as or instruct you call Jeff Scott, Ryan Smith, Gary Johnson, Rickey Sylvester, etc..... Who always sound like somebody with a heavy Indian accent... If that doesn't set off the BS radar, I don't know what would...
I called these crooks back to have a little fun with them... I called twice, asked for the same guy "Jeff Scott" and got clearly two different people who claimed to be him... When I stared asking too many questions I could sense them becoming less coherent..
A local company might call to sell you windows or siding... No one is going to call you from across the country to sell you virus software...
As for the conflicting reviews here that claim they were "helped" by this "company", look closely at the spelling and text patterns of those postings...
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, its a scam being routed through an Indian call center...
Happy Holidays and keep your guard up...
Received a call from my mother while I was at work giving me a number to call as he told her my computer was running something illegal and he needed to log on to it to make it stop. She told him to give the number to call back as she knows nothing about computers. Im the only one using the computer and unless you call FaceBook and illegal website then most of the world is doing something illegal. I explained to my mother to NEVER allow anyone to log onto your computer as your personal information is on there especially when you do online shopping and banking. If there was anything illegal going on im sure the police would have already been at the door and my Rogers internet provider would have already contacted me.
Alex called me claiming that he is from Microsoft. He said that my computer has virus which could be removed at a charge of 399.99. I paid it as my computer was running slow. He worked on my computer and it was fine. He gave me callback number 239-247-5552 if i had any issues. Next day my computer started freezing,i tried calling them but after many tries i got to speak with some in broken English couldn't understand what he was saying after asking him his name, he said John Williams,no telephone etiquettes, was very casual and kept on attempting to get rid of my call. I told him that my computer is not turning on he said my hard drive has crashed without checking and take it to local technician. After being harsh on him he said he will call me back in 15 minutes and hung up. Did not get any callbacks from anyone..A scam company with scam technicians with no computer knowledge and no communication sense..
