Thank you Kat. You are so right. I just went through this but the second I got hit up for money I knew what it was! And thank you DR PHIL!!! It's so very sad. This breaks my heart for me and especially for those who actually paid.
They called claiming they were in AZ, got my name all wrong and claimed I had won $250,000 by using my credit card that they needed to deliver. When i asked where my certified letter was, they said it had been returned and asked for my account number. I said they would have the necessary information if they were legit. He said that they were aware of scammers using their number, but not to worry then made a jumbled claim that it was some kind of collected taxes (?!). I told them to send me certified letter and hung up. They actually had the gall to call back. So I asked for a supervisor. I kid you not, it sounded like the same guy just holding his nose! I just hung up again.
First time they said they said they were cps, the second call sounded more like ups.
Just got a call from this number. I didnt answer, but now I am freaked the hell out from all these other posts. Although, the king latifah one did make me laugh. But now I will be forever paranoid about random numbers calling me.
Who ever these 2 men r (2that I know using3 #'s) r using prepaid phones from around country and r Nigerians !! They r hacking into people's (men's identities) on Zoosk dating site and scamming women !! There very fluent in English ! Since their using prepaid cell phones u can report them to FCC ; also if their trying to scam u in any form about money , such as u won money play along get a company name they r working for ; get names, address , e-mails , and any phone numbers write everything down ! Also if they ask u for money to complete transaction ; like to pay some tax money on winnings , such as a "Money Pak Refill Card" ! Then call Federal Trade Commission . Give them all information . Also report to your "State Attorney Generals" office; these two offices r to b used only if money involved ! Hope this helps !!!
