At my Mother-in-Law's when the call came to her house. Up until today, she did not know that I had put hers and my numbers on the National Do-Not-Call list. She also did not know that her previous time on it had expired (good for 5 years only). Anyway, call got answered because a guest thought that they recognised the number. Well, they probably did recognise the number since EVERYONE is getting these calls. I copied the number down and FILED A COMPLAINT with the National Do-Not-Call agency. I read somewhere that there have been 102 complaints so far since August 20, 2008. That's all.
These people are pissing me off, I have told them numerous times that we are listed on the do-not-call list and requested they remove our number from their calling list. They continue to call us and either don't say anything or give us some b s about last day to lower our interest rate (which we do not have).
Aug. 8,2008 Got a call at 03:06 p.m. Recorder message says "Don't be alarmed but this the last day to lower your rate...". Received a call from 239-437-4835.
I call to complain at 1- 888-382-1222 by phone
Anyone reading this message board that has received an unwanted call from this number, please file a complaint immediately with the FTC by going to donotcall.gov. The only way they will act on complaints is if they get a significant number of complaints about the same number.
Same thing. Evasive when I asked which "Account Services" they were calling from. They said my Visa or Mastercard. I told them I had two accounts and asked which one they were calling about. They hung up on me. Tried to call them back with my cell phone and the number was out of service.
