They call this morning and a Lady named Alyssa Brown(even gave me her Batch ID) addressed me. She mention she is Chief Investigating officer from IRS and I have a warrant issued for my name as I have not responded to the IRS to 2 of the notices they sent me early this year. When I inquired further I was transferred to senior Agent Doug Miller. To add to the misery and make me more nervous they called me from a 1911 number that a Sheriff from a local police station is calling to ask about my location and tell me about the warrant. And in the end they ask for money to put the warrant on hold. Thank God I was not trapped and sensed their intentions so I hang up.
I feel so bad since this call and feel terrible for the time I trusted these scammers. Please be aware and don't fall into any trap.
the person call claiming that he is from the IRS and that you have a cout order today to have you arrested and that you need to pay a fine...they keep you on the phone line at all the time to make sure you are going to pay...also they have a phone number fron a fake police 911 saying the same....
I didn't answer their calls. Let it go to voicemail. Called three times yesterday. Claimed to be from the IRS with an arrest warrant. What a bunch of bogus. I forwarded the voicemail to the IRS as an attachment and also a screenshot of how many times they called. Make sure you report these criminals: https://www.irs.gov/uac/report-phishing
Fake I.R.S. call saying they have a "bench warrant" and that I need to pay them immediately. I didn't even have to go to law school to know the I.R.S. doesn't issue "bench warrants", but I did anyway.

Hi. I had the same situation. Someone called me named Alyssa Brown. She did the same thing to me. I was all freaked out so I called the IRS and they told me that they are never gonna call or email someone if they have warrant or issue but they are going to send letter instead before they make a warrant or anything. And she told me to hang up because in 3 hours the police will come and get me. So please be careful. Thanks to Lord, everything is fine now. I was relieved.
