This may be a legitimate company, though I have no verification. Other responses state the call was from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from Microsoft, which unless you personally know someone there, will be a lie. They wanted the people to "get on" their computers right away, possibly to remotely trojanize them.
I received this call when I was out of town Sept. 10th-18th, along with another one from 240-252-3089.
I to received an 8:30pm call, I don't answer unknown caller ID's. I tried Google search and at the top of the page was, windstreambusiness.com Broadband High-Speed Internet Provider in Maryland
Wsng236z13, Maryland Business Broadband, High-Speed Internet Access, VoIP, Voice, Network, Data, and Cloud Services
Answered call on 9/3/14. It was a poor connection and the person was hard to understand. Person was from India? saying our computer has errors and would crash now. Get on your computer now. They were calling from micro soft. We disconnected the call.
This is a bogus call,, they want you to purchase their product ,, getting on your computer and following their instructions gives them total access to your computer, Don't do it,, I got the same Indian guy probably,, and he got very rude when I told him, no thanks. This is NOT a real call from Micros soft ,, don't be fooled
