This is ridiculous!! I have the same story as the rest of you, it's sad that people don't have anything better to do than to rip off innocent people trying to make a living.  He will be reported for this!

Cashed the check, performed the tasks that were mentioned, and received $400 for hardly any time spent.  Where does the scam come in?

If the check is cashed and it is returned by the issuing bank one of several things may happen from bad to worse.

1. You are hit with a returned check fee by your bank if there are no funds in the account drawn upon.

2. You are charged with a crime for attempting to cash a phony check if the check is fake.

3. Any money you are instructed to wire somewhere after cashing the bogus check is lost and cannot be recovered.
