I'd suggest you complain to your state's attorney general and the state that they reside in.
Send a letter to the credit reporting agencies that this is fraud, no such "debt" ever existed,
"this is an error'.
my son rented from these people in two states fo a total of 6 years...paid every month...they tried to evict him and his two sons for no reason and then he moved a year ago...everything was paid because I paid the rent....now I get a call from this number and she says it is to connect a cell phone but can't talk to me as i didn't cosign but they are using my number because it is somehow in a universal phone bank for my son.......equity, I agree, hires incompetent people and my son lived in an apartment that had a horrible infestation of ants...they never got rid of them. Now it sounds as if they are going to put him through a credit ringer and try and extort some extra money....I will take that gentlemans idea and call our attourney general..thank you for that great info!!!!
I had not rented from Equity in over 6 months when I received a missed call from this number. I left owing no money; apartment was spotless. They simply fabricated charges and sent me to collections.
They had my cell phone, yet didn't call. They had my email and a login--which I had created on their site, yet they didn't email me. I gave a forwarding address within the same town, yet they mailed nothing.
The collection agency didn't even leave a voice mail message--and within minutes of calling me--they called my dad whom I listed as a reference when I applied to lease from them. Stay away. Find a private home owner to rent from as we did. You will have a much better experience--in my humble yet accurate opinion.
Keep calling asking for my father, will not explain why. After reading the above posts it is clear they are looking to get money out of people. My father has not rented in 40 years They identified themselves as FCl Worldwide In. I searched ans this company does not exist
This number has been calling my place of work for two weeks looking for me. I decided to tell the person on the other end that I will take a message for her. So today I did my research on the internet and happen to find that this company is called Equity Residential. Never heard of them! They are looking for previous renters that have a balance due that is owed from renting an apartment. To my knowledge, I noticed that this company DOES NOT have any apartment complexes in Las Vegas! The apartment I was in last year is not affiliated with this company at all! So the next time SPENCER WHITE calls, I am gonna give him a piece of my mind for calling me at my place of business trying to harass me for money! Beware!
