SCAM---Just listened to a message claiming to be IRS telling me to call this number to speak to a Federal Agent...."Call immediately to avoid SERIOUS federal charges being filed against you!"
So....I called back so I could use my new Air Horn, but it just rang and rang!
I got the message on my home machine- it was all scratchy and had a foreign voice threatening serious judicial action, federal grand jury or agents next....etc.
Then I called back blocking my number- they didn't pick up...
I called back again and it was busy, then I called a third time ( unblocked), a poor English speaking dude asked my phone number, told me to hold, and I then told him I was recording him; I asked for his badge number which he gave, his name- silence, his title?- silence and then I asked his agency, and he said the Climate Enforcement Division of the IRS.....at which point I said I hadn't heard of them yet...and then he said, " why don't you stop wasting both of our times and please hang up the phone and don't call back".
Hahahahaha! His phone is in the area of Sandy Spring, Maryland...
