Sat, 8:15 am, 8-1-2015. Woman, sounded like a recording still not sure if it was a combination of robocall and live person. After I tried to interrupt her, she spoke nonstop, I then said, "Is this a computer or a person." She said a person. I said, "I am on the do not call list and this could cost you $ 5,000 for your first offense, did you now that?" And she said "Yes!"
I'm reporting them to the FTC. I will get this stopped. https://www.donotcall.gov/ I checked my number and here is what it showed:
Thank you for registering your phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry. You successfully registered your phone number ending in 8323 on August 13, 2003. Most telemarketers will be required to stop calling you 31 days from your registration date.
Visit https://www.donotcall.gov to register another number or file a complaint against someone violating the Registry. I have won two class actions, maybe this will be #3.
What are the penalties for breaking the law? Those who violate the National Do Not Call Registry or place an illegal robocall can be fined up to $16,000 per call. Go to the Do Not call web site (see above) and register a complaint. I did.
