My Grandpa got a call at 8:30pm. telling him that if I didn't call these people back within 24hrs. I was going to have a warrent out for my arrest for theft and forgery. He immediately called me and I called theses people back. They told me that I had an account in 2005 that went $4000.00 delinquent and if I did not send them the money to Buffalo New york immediately I was going to jail. I ofcourse got histarical. I have never been in trouble a day of my life and I am a 22 year old single mother of a 3 year old little girl. Where was I suposed to get that kind of money? I called my father as soon as I hung up with the man who called himself "Robert", and he told me to go to the bank that I had the account with. So first thing the next morning I went to the bank and much to my suprise the Vice President of the bank told me that I DO NOT owe them any money and there is no reason that these people should be calling me, and the account number that they gave me saying that I owe on does not exsist. The scariest part is that they have my social security number. When she in turn tried to call them they hung up on her as soon as they foud out that she was the vice president of the company. I was very relieved that I did not owe these people any money but still very discouraged at the fact that they have all of my information and God only knows what they are going to do with it. As soon as I got home I called the Buffalo Police department and they informed me that the attorney's that they were telling me to send this money to do not exsist and the address is an address that is in the projects. These people are crooks and I am very glad that I looked into it before I sent them any money, but I only wonder how many people they have actually coned. These people are sitting at home doing nothing and banking off of our hard earned money.
They called us too and left a message which we knew was bogus since we have never been to Buffalo in our lives. We are not calling them back - this is the second scam like this we've received. Glad there are sites like this to make it easy to see that they are bogus and can call them on it.
A so called ALICE DUFOR called today and left a message about a civil lawsuit against my uncle, saying he needs to call her back within 24-48 hours. After talking to my uncle about it, and further investigation it turned out to be a scam. please do your research before paying any attention to random messages on your phones. It's not enought that people have everyday worries to take care of, they have to also deal with [***] heads like Alice Dufor....you want to make money...get a job like the rest of us and stop stealing hard earned money....
