Got the same call, for months on end and still going on. I never answer it but the message is always the same with the same caller id info but once in a while the person they are asking for is different. This is very annoying and frustrating. I'm ready to cut my phone service!!
THEY RING COUPLE OF TIMES AND HANG UP SO I DONT BOTHER ANSWER THEM, MUST NOT BE THAT IMPORTANT IF THEY JUST RING COUPLE OF TIME AND HANG UP. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME RUNNING TO THE PHONE.HA!!
My Cell phone rang this morning with this number and the recording said, "IF YOU STAY ON THE LINE YOU IMPLICITLY AGREE TOO....", at which point I hung up. I registered this number with the DONOTCALL.GOV site and began to try to find out who currently owns this number. IT IS A DEBIT COLLECTOR and an evil one at that, according to other internet sites. I rang this number and ASSET MANAGEMENT is a DEBIT COLLECTOR who uses bad business practices, recording introductions that imply you have accepted something. This I think is illegal and very bad business practice.
My Cell phone number is not assoicated with any of my accounts so this is a bogus and false con game or a bogus beginning of a ruse. Beware if this number rings your phne and the company ASSET MANAGEMENT, report them everytime you're harrassed by these folks who make money conning people on debits they don't owe.
Same thing...called and let it ring 3 times, then hung up. They did leave a message one time, though. Mr. Skylar Boyd. Like a previous commenter, he started off his message on my answering machine saying, and I quote, "By continuing to listen to this message, you hereby acknowledge that you are Mr. H...."
Is this a new rule in the debt collector's handbook? If they call the wrong number and the person comes home and finds this message, are they now responsible for the debt because they continued to listen to the message??
The nerve and stupidity of these debt collectors sometimes amazes me, but it shouldn't.
Called my cellphone today while I was in a meeting at work. They did not leave any message, but this is the ELEVENTH time this number has popped up on my cellphone caller ID. It is my practice not to answer my cellphone if I don't know who is calling. I don't answer out of area or unknown caller numbers either. I figure if it is someone who I know and who needs to contact me they will try my email if it is that urgent.
Got a call this morning from this number. They asked for Sally Bruce, my maiden name. My husband was handing the phone to me so I got there too late to hear all the message. But he said that the person on the phone said if this is Sally Bruce, push a certain number, etc... When I got the phone, the message said they would call again at a later time.
