Got the same call, for months on end and still going on. I never answer it but the message is always the same with the same caller id info but once in a while the person they are asking for is different. This is very annoying and frustrating. I'm ready to cut my phone service!!
Call all the time lately. Leave message about they are a collection agency. The are calling for a name I have never heard before. Do these agencies not look up who numbers are now registered to. Look up in the phone book for the person they are looking for. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who you are calling before you call. HELLO! Catch a clue!!
Saw this number on my caller ID, no message. I looked them up on the American Collectors Association (ACA)Web site (www.acainternational.org) member directory. Here's their company info:
Brad Bradley, President/CEO
28405 Van Dyke Ave
Warren, MI 48093-7132
Phone: (586) 939-9600
Fax: (586) 446-7832
If they're looking for collections, it doesn't belong to me, so I'm not dealing with them. If they put some phony stuff on my credit report I'll remind them about the FACT Act.
Got a call from this number on my cell during a meeting. I turned off the ring and ignored it. I do that for all calls out of my area code that aren't identified by name.
also Call from: 248-220-8708
Caller ID: AACC
Message left on answering machine: This is not a solicitation or telemarketing call. Please return this call at 1-800-821-9533. We are available Monday thru Thursday 8AM til 8:30PM, Friday 8AM til 7PM, and Saturday 8AM til noon Eastern Time. Once again our toll-free number is 1-800-821-9533. If you don't owe any money (and you probably don't) try dialing the 800 number and hang up every time you make any connection. Do this while you watch a movie. If they have to pay for your calls (and they do)it won't take some bean counter somewhere long to figure out you're costing them money. Soon you'll be off the call list.
