After the 7th ring I picked it up: Me, in an old person(I'm not)'s voice: "Hullo, hullo, is this the police calling back. Please come, I can't hold on much longer. He beat me up and took my money and medications. I didn't have time to get to my gun. Hullo, please hurry; I'm the only one who lives here." I haven't heard from that # since. I have several scripts written so I don't forget the routine. (And no police have shown up yet.)
I received at 3:10pm on 4/6/16. It was prerecorded voice from "Sarah" of consumer services, offering me a discount on my credit account, but my eligiblity ends today. So I pressed 1, and got an indian guy in a call center... I wonder where "Sarah" the anglo midwesterner went/
Are any of you using the Android "Cash" app to send money? I did that today and am a little freaked out that I got a call from this number just now and that the consensus here is that the callers are phishing for identity info for theft. Really hope there's not a correlation... I didn't pick up, no voicemail left.
