Clarification on my post re: the 250-483-0013 number. Using the internet phone to call a land line, the number 250-483-0013 appeared on the caller ID. The caller was in a totally different area code, not 250. Seems the voice over internet call emerges from the digital ether and connects to the land line system via 250-483-0013. And the number isn't associated with any one caller.
Yes you can block this through Telus screen, you just have to block it right away as it give you the option to block your last caller...I just did and this number 250-483-0326 has been added to my list
Got 4 calls in the last hour. (if you are getting these calls they are on a British Columbia, Canada number). I finally waited on the phone until "Benjaman" came on the line. I asked him to take me off the his list he said he would...no more calls tonight. Interestingly enough I was also receiving calls from 480 543-1171 during the same time period. ( a number with a lot of history showing coming from Arizona-check the number for more details) those calls have stopped for the night as well.
I get this number on the call display all the time.
Apparently anyone who phones a BC number using the Vonage system has their number show up on call display as 250-483-0013. It has something to do with the Vonage call center re-directing phone calls the wrong way.
