I think these scammers along with others bought our information from the black market. I shopped at Target about a year ago during the security breach. They waited a year for the coast to clear and now they are trying to scam us.
There are two cell phones in the house. 253-234-9707 called one phone this evening. We didn't pick up. About an hour later, the same caller called the second cell phone. (Each cell phone has its own phone number, and is registered under one name.) The caller didn't leave any message on either phone. "Consumer Services" called twice today, too, as usual. Sure wish the NSA would nail these guys.
This number showed up on my caller ID, the caller was selling E cigarettes. I let the recording play until I got a real person on the phone, When I asked them to identify themselves and the name of the company, they hung up. I called them back and got an answering machine. Any legitimate business would have a legitimate phone number and customer service department.
