I think these scammers along with others bought our information from the black market. I shopped at Target about a year ago during the security breach. They waited a year for the coast to clear and now they are trying to scam us.
I got a call from this number on the 18th. It just rang once then hung up. Im in the southeast wisconsin area. After reading this I decided to call them back private and leave them several voicemails telling them to f*ck off and suck on various parts of my nether regions, among other things to that effect.
I received a call from the same number 253-234-9707. called it back...and got voicemail. I chose to block the number so that the calls don't even get through. every sales call that I get - I block the number.
also in southeast wisconsin, got missed call today. calls seem recent within the last week, there is a report option at the top of this page would that help?
Been reading about fake cell towers. You should check them out. Not sure if their real or what's their deal but it was an untereating piece. Makes me think these guys could be calling from fake towers, scamming people into buying these things and not only get our payment but also all the information off the card, for further use. One of the theories involved gangs running scams of the same sort. I defiantly recommend not buying anything over the phone anymore unless it's a Cvc or trusted call in retailer.. Hell even those are getting hacked as it is.. It's all a big crapshoot at this point fellas.
