Received a call from these idiots and I decided to put them on the hot foot. Told them we knew all about their operation and threatened them with the usual law suit even told them where they are from. This woman's name is Ellen from Credit Services in New Jersey. They had been calling previously but the person they wanted isn't at my number and I didn't care. Maybe the Attorney General's Office in each State including New Jersey should be contacted.
Caller claimed to be calling about my computer sending spam or unauthorized data. It's not the first time they have called me. Thick accent. I asked for a phone number to call back and was given a "403" number that belongs to a residential land line.
I just recieved a phone call from the gentleman with a very heavy Indian accent and fast speech. I am very country so fast speech for me is very confusing. Identifying himself as from Windows Help Center, he spoke of my computer having malicious viruses and malware, so it needed to be removed immediately. He also said my computer was sending out error messages that was disrupting other computers within my area to keep from having a secure connection. I live in an apartment building so I was concerned for my neighbors, but I found a few things odd. Normally, when my accent is heard and they can not slow down for me, they transfer me to an American representative. This time was not the case, but I did get him to slow down, and he has a very firm grasp of the English language. I heard other people in the background. So I asked him, "how did you get my number?" We are private, and unlisted. He said from my computer ... my computer is not listed with my number, but a dead one for this specific purpose. So I asked for his company's name and number and I would call them if the problem is legitment(like you do with phishing companies to see if it's real or not) and he said, I'll just call you back. I replied with the same demand and then you heard someone in the background going 'she knows it's a scam, hang up!' and then dead.
**Be very careful all, and run constant checks on your computer ... and do not cooperate unless they give you a number that you can return their call to. If provided with one, google it then make your decision from there.***
these people are really bad. i have received telephone calls from various numbers with the same TRIKON caller id tag for the last several weeks. unfortunately, they dont take no for an answer. tell them you have a MAC and they will leave you alone. (if you are lucky) my husband got into it with them and they havent stopped calling. I have reported each and every number they have called from to FCC, FTC, Homeland Security, the FBI and the Sheriffs dept since they threatened our lives. Yes. Not joking, they really want to scam you and if you dont let them, they will scare the crap out of you.
