Received a call from these idiots and I decided to put them on the hot foot. Told them we knew all about their operation and threatened them with the usual law suit even told them where they are from. This woman's name is Ellen from Credit Services in New Jersey. They had been calling previously but the person they wanted isn't at my number and I didn't care. Maybe the Attorney General's Office in each State including New Jersey should be contacted.
I just received a voice message on my work phone from this number, but it was for the Windows program. This one was for a payday loan that I have supposedly not paid. I couldn't get the mans first name which is typical with the Indian accent. All I could make out was Brown and he stated it was a very serious matter and that either I or my record of attorney should call him back the instant I got his message. If I or my attorney did not call him back was all he could do was wish me good luck and the situation unfolds on me. He gave me a different to call back on 856-823-0398. This is a scam, they use threats, harrass you. I have turned in a couple of them to the Federal Trade Commission. I plan on giving them more of these scammers that have called me almost everyday since the first of the year. I will not be calling him back.
I received a phone call today from an east Indian asking if this is Mrs. ( husbands last name). He said that my computer is at risk. Apparently there was suppose to be a problem with my computer. I asked where he was calling from and he said New York. I said but from what company? He said Windows Live... I asked how he got the information regarding my computer and he claims our IP address. I asked which computer, he said he didn't know. I knew it was a scam as he was ryhming off my address and postal code. My last name is different from my husbands, and my husbands last name is the one listed in the phone book and our computer is registered under my last name! Hahaha too funny. I asked him for a web site and a phone number I could call back. He gave me 315-944-0911. The number that showed up on my phone when I was called the first time was 253-236-2020. At any rate I called the number back just to humour myself, and of course there wasn't an answer. 20 min. went by and then I received a call from the 315 number asking if I called there. I said yes! He said you agreed to get help with your computer? I told him he was nothing but a huge scam. He says oh, can I have your name so I can take you off the list?? UM, I believe he just called me back! lol maybe just take my phone number off! hahahaha!!!
I recognized that the 253 area code was not Canadian so I figured I'd answer as it's their nickel.
The East Indian woman on the other end of the line announced herself as being "Windows Home Services" with a very thick Indian accent.
Without skipping a beat I replied "Oh My God, don't tell me that I've got another virus?"(I've had this call several times and like playing with them)
I then hear the woman slamming keys trying to determine where in the sequence this statement is in her script.
"I'm sorry", she says.
"Don't be sorry" I reply, "You're obviously new at this. You should put me through to tech support. This virus is the worst ever."
-click- line goes dead
"Hello caller?...hello?"
hahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Next time I'm going to pretend to be a Homicide Detective and the person she's calling is dead and I'm investigating.
Hehehehe, I can't wait.
