Won't leave a message. Caller ID says "Auburn WA". In the past, calls from "Auburn WA" (but different no.) have been reported as the "I'm calling from Microsoft to fix your computer" scam. I suspect they are spoofing a different no. now.
Thank you for providing those numbers. I have a call blocker device (up to 1200 numbers) and have added these since you never know when they will call.
They tried to sell me on some pain relieving ointment that my insurance would pay for. I played along to see what they really wanted - money. Well not getting it from me.
Won't be answering anymore of their calls.
This number showed up as SVC on my caller id. I was out so could not immediately block it (I purchased a call blocker device from Amazon) so I then manually blocked the number as well as the entire area code. I know no one from that area so it doesn't make a difference.
What I would suggest is that everyone print up complaints, such as on this board, and send them, with a letter to the appropriate state attorney generals office. If they are coming from within the state, they can be traced (I worked for the phone company and know they can do things to protect the consumers).
If the phone companies could do something to block all these calls, why don't they? Mine lets me block all Private numbers but only 32 standard numbers, not area codes. They could do much more to help their customers with this problem.
