I guess there is a good chance this could be a scam, At least this scam is a little more thought out, than agent Ron Black with the thick Indian accent. Be smart.
My 85 year old Mother-in-Law received a call demanding $2,981 for past due taxes from 2009 to 2013. Sebastian Brown, who has a very heavy foreign accent, demanded she pay immediately or there would be a warrant for her arrest. I do her taxes and recognized this as a scam so decided to call him back. He hung up on me when I asked too many questions, like "How much is owed for each year" and then when I called back again he put someone else on the line that said it was $3,000. I mentioned that the amounts were different and he told me he was just giving a round figure. When I again asked for specific problems from her returns, he hung up on me. I called back and got Sebastian again. He warned that if she did not pay immediately she would have to go to court and pay a $25,000 penalty for her tax violations. When I questioned him further, he hung up on me again. I tried to call back again but his number is now constantly busy. If you have the time, please help me drive these scammers off the phone.

Yes, they called and left a message for my mother in law as well! When my husband called back they were fumbling around to explain! How rediculous they can be such scum bags and take elder people's money! Kept calling and actually had someone say they have no idea what we are talking about! Total scam!!!! Never reply to this number or these people!!! And seriously!!! Calling from an actual local area code??? How stupid can you be!!!!
