Hello. This is Sgt. Sebastian Brown from the Internal Revenue Service. The reason to give this call today was just to let you know that we have received an arrest warrant for tax against your name for tax evasion and right now you and your assets are under federal investigation. We request you not to disregard this message and call us back at your nearest convenience on our number that goes 253 292 3977. Do call back between normal business hours 9 to 5 at your own standard time.
This is exactly how he spoke.
Got a robotic call from this Sergeant Sebastian Brown, and 3 calls from Alarni with an East Indian accent. Brown told me that there's a legal case file against our name. He said, Tax Evasion. They don't even know our names and address when they left the messages. I asked him questions that he can't even answer. He told me that the police will come and arrest us and we need to go the court and pay $25,000 fines. I was already getting mad because it doesn't make sense being charge of tax evasion while we file our taxes every year and even paying people to do our tax. When he said he can help us to resolve this, that's when I realized it was a scam. I told him before I deal with him, I will call IRS to confirm and get back to him. After that he said we should get a good lawyer and hung up the phone. I hope he can be traced and get arrested along with his partners. Some people are vulnerable and can be easily victimized. Phone #s they used- 253-292-3977 and 914-265-1199. People beware!
Another scammers to be aware of are people pretending they saw your information at CARE.COM and would like to hire you as a nanny, housekeeper, caregiver etc. One confirmed tel# 914-607-9952 , pretending she is deaf, moving to my area and would like to hire me as a nanny and will send a check of $2800.00 for me to cash for a wheelchair she ordered for her son including $400.00 payment for the babysitting that I did not do yet. When I sent a text that this is kind of too trusting of her to send the money, not knowing me yet and asked her the name of the company so I am sure that is not a scam, she stopped contacting me.
calls with a pre-recorded message, and leaves a message on answering machine, claiming we are being sued, and they have been trying to reach us. Since we don't owe the IRS any money, these are both certainly lies.
