They represented themselves as marketers of e cigarettes you pay 9.95 and they send you a trial sample. Of course I did not do that but did ask for them to send brochures so that I could find out who they are and if they are who they say they are. If I don't receive anything at all I will know they are something other than this and will report back.
I am a telemarketer but I only call local for a fundraising company for programs I support. I went ahead to press 1 to find out who they were. They asked for my name at the beginning, I told them "gladly but before we go any further i just want to check to see if this is a legitimate business, I asked what company they represented they said versacigarett or something in broken english the best an indian could do. I told them I didn't ask what you are selling I was asking what telemarketing company do you represent....click.
I know we are annoying, but there are people just doing a job making sells. People like this I despise because they are fishing for information which makes things harder on us who are legit. Get on the do not call list, if they call you and its not local aka your area code its a scam. Local calls may be fundraisers simply ask what who they work for they are legally obliged to give you this information. If they don't give information to you contact the Better Business Bureau and report the number. They will have to deal with a civil class action lawsuit if they are caught.
