They have been calling my phone for the last couple of years, every day (accept sunday )sometimes twice a day. I just look at the number now and ignore it.
They say this is second and final chance to get lower interest rate on credit cards. I told them I have NO credit cards and they hang up. They've called many times so far in 2015. Why do they call? I honestly have NO credit cards. Where do they get information that I have credit cards. I reported this to proper authorities. Sometimes when they call they tell you to press a certain number so you do not get called again. I've pressed that certain number for most of these calls and they still call.!
They do not care and probably have their robocallers calling every number in the U.S. I've received this "second and final offer" for an estimated 1500 calls over the past decade to multiple phone numbers. I rarely go more than a week without a scam phone call, and have gotten as many as 3 or 4 per day - at least my phone blocker hangs up on them as soon as the ID comes through. They are out of the country, so they don't worry about getting caught. The numbers are spoofed and I've blocked over 50 numbers so far - they know that I and many others don't fall for their schemes but every time that we block them, they just come in from a new spoofed number and we have to block another number - it makes me think that they are intentionally harassing us, or they are too stupid to recognize that the reason we blocked them is because we aren't falling for their schemes. The phone companies could stop this but they are not interested - they would rather continue the revenue from the scam phone calls coming through and potentially sell a new service to block them.
The politicians could force the phone companies to do something, but Republicans protect businesses and will not force a company to do something that would be reasonable and in the best interest of the consumer.
