We have great credit, thankfully, but somehow my cell number became the target for collecting on a student loan. There were tons of calls (I never answered thanks to these websites) and then peace until today this number showed up. So not sure how my number got on their lists, I haven't had a student loan since 1983, and it was paid up long ago. Bless you all for reporting on these numbers.
I like to say, "Even if I owed you something, I would never give you a dime because you are rude. You are too lazy to be polite. You need more discipline. You have blown it. Learn some manners. Goodbye."
I started getting calls from Tate when I got Vonage as back up phone system while traveling. He doesn't call my cell or my home phone, just this vonage number that doesn't even have my name attached to it.
PLUS I'm debt free and haven't had a mortgage in 10 years. And when I did have a mortgage I had auto-pay on it.
So there's something else going on with this company, too. I don't actually have the vonage phone hooked up, but I get email recordings of the (blank air) messages.
I kept getting missed calls from this number for a week. Called and spoke to an "representative" and she asked me if I knew who they were trying to call, I said no and then she transferred me to another representative who asked what my number was. I told her and then was put on hold, a minute later she came back on and told me they were trying to call a Nick. I told her I didn't know a Nick and to not call me anymore, she said my number would be removed from their call list. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
