Call showed up as 986-2014. Claimed to be tech support or something from Microsoft, saying that my computer has a virus. Asked about frequency of internet usage. Wanted me to delete files or something. I hung up.
In WA State. They call several times a day from just 1-986-2014... no area code, so when I try to redial, it can't be done. I am going to pick up next time. So the question is, what can we do about them? Once they know someone's onto them, can't they just use another number and get as many people as they can til that number is reported?
Got this call yesterday, saying from Microsoft, and my computer was sending them signals. I said, "Yay! I programmed it to do that! I'm glad it worked!" He was speechless. I hung up.
