I had gotten a call today saying 'This is Amanda with Private Services (I think that is the company she said, it was rather hard to understand, as she was speed talking). They have received a formal complaint and that they have documents for me. They want me or my attorney to call 844-712-2130 and to have two forms of ID ready, as they have paper work that they are trying to send to me.'
This is obviously a scam. For one, they didn't use my name; for two, if it is a legal issue, they would mail the info by certified mail; and for three, I don't have any legal issues.
I got a call from this number on 6/22 saying that there was a formal complaint against me, and to have two forms of id ready as attempts to deliver documents relating to this complaint would be made. They told me to call 844-712-2130 if I had any questions.
I got a very similar call from 214-200-4444 a few weeks ago.
Clearly a scam of some sort, I'm guessing you're supposed to call the alternate number and will then be asked to verify certain information about yourself and that's how they get your info.
Have received several calls during work hrs with same message.... A formal complaint was filed.. Number is from Texas... I don't do biz. In Texas... Stupid scam wanting my I.d. ....
Same as above, left a message about a formal complaint, number from Texas... didn't say who they were calling for. Since they didn't use my name so I figured wrong number, could be a scam though. I didn't bother calling the number they left.
