I had gotten a call today saying 'This is Amanda with Private Services (I think that is the company she said, it was rather hard to understand, as she was speed talking). They have received a formal complaint and that they have documents for me. They want me or my attorney to call 844-712-2130 and to have two forms of ID ready, as they have paper work that they are trying to send to me.'
This is obviously a scam. For one, they didn't use my name; for two, if it is a legal issue, they would mail the info by certified mail; and for three, I don't have any legal issues.
same thing its a scam and i hope old folks dont fall for it they need to arrest this guy or whole company he called my cell phone i have contacted the attorney general ..and reported it
They will have a number 281-202-0200 call you and tell you that you have legal paperwork that is being delivered. You need two forms of ID. Its just a sneaky way for scummy debt collectors to get around the law that you request they dont contact you...they have another company do it by saying they are delivering bogus paperwork. I contacted an attorney who is starting a class action lawsuit on these guys.
