Okay, we block our numbers because each call center has hmmm idk... .100 computers! If each computer had it's own number, we would have to open a completely different branch just to keep up with all the people calling back. DUh
Evident in the laughable prose of various Promark "Supervisors" is the company's commitment to hiring only a desperate, under-educated, and undisciplined workforce, lacking any demonstrable talent. These people are the bottom of the barrel, the social outcasts and misfits. Implicit in calling some households at 10 pm 3 times - waking up fever-ridden infants - is an invitation to retribution. Some people might become angry enough to film the various employees entering and exiting your building, noting the license plate numbers of the cars they drive and tracking their arrogant [***] to their homes. Quid pro quo...oorah!
I'm not a college student. I relocated to Huntsville and needed a quick job. I HATED working there so much I quit without another job lined up. They are the bottom of the barrel, especially the owners and some of the staff. The interviewers are treated horribly. Short breaks, ignored by staff, stuck in their chairs for sometimes 5 hours without a break calling people up until 10 at night. And, yes, numbers are circulated through and people will get many calls a night until they do the survey. Most of the surveys are mud-slinging push polls even though their website says they don't participate in those.... They are lying and it's [***]. It's a horrible place. Many socially awkward work there. Most intelligent college students quit after near a few days. They have to train new people every week, then those people leave. It's a sweat shop and I'm better off broke than I would be if I was still there.
