Without a summons via mail or served, it means nothing. Flag the number in your phone to go directly to VM. This way you won't here it ring and they will eventually give up. Hope that helps!
A very rude message was left on our phone, which said simply "call me back!"; it did not even leave the name of the caller nor the reason for the call. They are shown in the net as Texas Business. When I attempted to call back I was unable to get through their voice mail to speak to a live person. They are SELLing credit card machines and we are NOT a business. Our phone is also on the 'do not call list' and I really resent such intrusions into my life, more especially rude intrusions! I would like to know how to stop such calls when the 'do not call list' does not work.
I too got a phone call today from them. Advising that I may be eligible to receive refunds due to the change in the sales tax. Sent to my home phone, because it was listed, and they claimed to have sent something to the address listed with the state but the letter came back undeliverable. I know that's not true because the address listed is my residence. I'm also on the Do Not Call List.
I am an Artist and I started my business Feb. 2011. For 3-7 days I kept getting call after call of credit card machine companies trying to get me to do business. I have not gotten big enough to warrant a credit card machine as of yet. Finally, they stopped calling. 2-3 days ago I registered my number on the national "Do Not Call List" that said it would take 31 days to take effect. Now, I get another one of the calls..I think they know their time is limited when you register so they will hound you to the last minute. Good Luck to all of you starting a business..small businesses is what started this nation and that is what keeps it going.
