You can't stop these people from using their nasty auto-dialer. There are groups and institutions that are not covered by the do not call list. If you get a call from "Alex Schriver" he is also with the College Republicans. You can expect to have 3 other Republican groups attempting to call you as well.....particularly if you are a registered Republican or Independent. They would be the National Republican Committee..........they have several numbers (the prime number is a 202 area code which is Washington, DC..............the National Republican Congressional Committee also calls and those can come from anywhere in the country as they have volunteers calling and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. I suppose we can also expect to hear from our local and State Committees as well. All of them will drive us nuts until November 6th (Election day) after which we will have some rest for another 2 or 3 years, when it will start all over again!!
I envy people who can give up their land lines...........I can't, I have an elderly mother all the way across the country who may need to reach me and at 93, I don't think she would be quite so quick to learn a new number, (my cell). No one has found that yet.
I understand these organization & charities need money, but where do they expect us to get this money to give away, we are all hurting and calling us constantly everyday, 3 - 6 times a day isn't going to get you a dime from me.
