I received a call from them as well. She said she was from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. She said I had taken out a payday loan that was never repaid and I had to pay $986.00. She was very rude and defensive when I asked her about proof of the debt. She said since it was involved in the legal case, she could not provide anything to me. Then the next day I received a call from the North Carolina's sheriff's office (252-378-3167) saying I had failed to act on the obligation and they would come to my house or place of business to arrest me.
I called today and asked for their tax ID and address and they would not provide it.
Well, I just got my 2nd phone call from a scammer company. My wife is in law school so she was able to help me confirm that these are scammers. I was scarred the first time they called from CA however this time they state they are in MD. So what I decided to do is keep calling them back and now they told me to stop calling them. So the moral of the story is don't release any information to them as they already have it or some of it and they are trying to make a quick buck. They prey on the weak trying to make money which doesn't ever belong to them. So my Friday Mission is to keep calling the number, have all my friends call the number just so they have to shut that number down. Mission Scumbag Scammers starts now!!! Be aware for another phone number and name that may call you: Kalvin from American Legal Services he stated his "lawyer" was Mark Brown (2 words, Yeah Right!), my wife looked him up and there was one complaint under one attorney named Mark Brown and it was exactly as they explained it. Good luck to everyone and never give these scumbags any of your information.
this is a scam, Call the number several times and mess with these idiots.I had a great time making them say stupid stuff and recording them finally they just let it go to voice mail.
