Hate to tell you... but you just gave then carte blanch to your account. You gave then the verbal password!!!!???? I was just called by them, didn't give them any info. Called the real citi bank and they notified me that no one from the company had called me. You see, all they needed was your password. good luck.
This call (301-714-5301) is NOT a scam or fraudulent. It's the credit card company trying to call you about suspicious charges. Call them back - you'll see. I got two weird calls from two different numbers. It was just Citi Bank trying to verify some charges I had made the day before. I even had them transfer me to the Customer Service AND Points/Rewards departments for some other stuff I had to take care of..... totally safe, totally legit. Just call them back, otherwise they put a freeze on your card and you can't make any other purchases.
It is Citi Fraud Early Warning, I let it go to voicemail, a foreign speaking gentleman said there were unordinary charges to my card and he said the last four digits. He asked for me to call the number on the back of the card at my earliest convenience. The night before I had used the card over the web. he never gave me another number to call or anything, no personal info was needed, just the card and to call the number on the back of the card.
