I love it! I do the same thing when they call. I tell them I am Sheriff so & so and they called a crime scene. They will not need to cooperate with me by giving me information I need or the police will be sent to arrest them. It is a crime to not cooperate with the police in an investigation. What is your full name and complete address. What is you ss #, what is the complete name and address of the company you work for, and what is the complete name and address of the owner of the company. Usually, they hang up before getting this far.
Wonderful post, but have no fear, they will call you again and again and again. I think they have serious short-term memory issues because even when you tell them that you know they're scam artists, they STILL call back repeatedly. I guess they're hoping that our IQ will drop to as low as their own between phone calls.
LML, I hope they do call back again. What would I do to brighten my day without them? I hear the phone ring and clap my hands in joy to know I get to play with another one. I call it preying on the scammers. If they think my IQ will drop between calls, they are sadly mistaken.
