They Called my son a Police Officer here in town and didd the same thing. As an Unavail. caller told him to have me call them. so I looked up this # that they told him to have me call. Called him back and told him what I found out. So he is turning tne info over to the local authorities who will turn the info over to the Federal authorities for investigation......................
Same as many others. Global Acquisitions said they were a litigation firm and were collecting on a debt I owed. Scary part is that they had the last four of my SSN and called my mom and step-dad. I filed a claim with the Consumer Protection Bureau and with the SSA. PLEASE report them!!!!
I got a voice mail that said a claim had been filed against me and to call back 302-241-0396. So I called the number even though I was almost sure it was a scam, and of course the person I spoke to had no account number to reference, no actual information that made sense, and yet they were willing to take a $600 "settlement" payment from me for a $1300 loan I supposedly had not made any payments on. They had the last four numbers of my ss which frightens me. They said if I didn't pay the settlement then it would go into further legal filings and were really trying to scare me. The person James Jones that I spoke to eventually hung up on me when I kept asking for more information so that I could call the supposed creditor that hired them to file the claim, so I am totally sure it is b.s.
Rec'd a call from 302-241-0396 today (08-08-14) for asking for my ex husband, to whom i have been divorced from since March, 2004. My phone # that they called is and has always been ONLY in my maiden name that I have taken back in that divorce in March, 2004, as well as THIS HOUSE is only in my maiden name since 2006 (2 yrs AFTER the divorce). "Claims" litigation is what I heard on my voice mail. I have been receiving phone calls asking for my EX HUSBAND since September, 2013 from these kinds of "different" agencies, and some are very rude and threatening. How can I stop this??!!! A few have even left a voice mail stating that they know where he is currently living (HUH??! LOL), and where he works....SO WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING THE WRONG PLACE OF RESIDENCE (MY HOME) IF YOU KNOW HE DOESN'T LIVE AT MY HOUSE, AND IF YOU KNOW WHERE HE WORKS, THEN PLEASE CALL THE PISS OUTTA THEM FOR A CHANGE!!! UGH! over all of this!
