Just got a call and the guy breezed through his name and the company so I asked what company again and he said Simm Associates. Then I asked what he wanted and he said he needed to verify my address, read off my address, then I said I don't give out personal information to people I dont know who cold call me, then the person mumbled something and hung up on me. There website https://www.simmassociates.com/consumer-resources/ says it's debt collector but I am not sure what debt they are collecting on as I am up to date on all my debts. I fired an angry email off to via their contact us link on their site too.
Received a call from this number from Mrs. Roberts who said she was calling from Deleware and looking for some help to get a message to my neighbor. She told me the neighbor's name and started to give his address, and I told her I didn't know who he was. She said thanks anyway and hung up. The thing that bothers me is that she knew MY name and called on my unlisted line.
302-283-2800 has been calling both me and my mother for a charge of $1200 on a Verizon account that they won't give us any info about. My mom lives in PR and I in FL, and they have called numerous times today. I asked what account they were calling about, who was on the account, etc. and was hung up on. They said mom's employment was at a job she hasn't worked at for over 25 years. They sound really fishy. If they call again, we are directing them to our lawyer as all of our accounts are squared away.
Demanded to speak to my son. He does not live here. Was told to has him or his lawyer contact this number. Would not tell me the nature of the business other than say it was a legal matter. Very harassing woman on the line.

I just got a call from this number. I never answer calls from a number I do not recognize, I let it go to voice-mail (I figure if its important, they will leave a message). Even though the name for the Caller ID shows IXC COMM, the guy on the voice mail says he is from Sims Associates. He has our names (my husband's and my) right, but I'm still not going to call him back. The voice-mail he left consists of the following (with the "case number" and our real names left out):
This message is for [name] or [name], uh, This is Bob Foster contacting you from Sims Associates. Either one of you needs to call me back today it is very important that I speak to you, about an important business matter that you two have with my office. You can return my call back at 866-572-8788. Also when you call back please refer to file number [number]. [repeats file number]. This is Bob Foster contacting you from Sims Associates. Thank you.
I refuse to call back, and if they call me back and I feel like answering the phone, I will record the call. I also have a very detailed, easily accessible caller ID list and I get an email with the voice-mail attachment from my phone company when I get a new one. (In other words, I'm planing for them to leave a data trail to prove that they were harassing me... if they call back).
Also, I believe my husband has requested a certified letter from them proving that they own the debt and what the debt is about. Its been months, and no letter. Hrmm....
