It doesn't matter if you're on the DNCallList, IF YOU ARE A CUSTOMER of a credit card company or of a bank or other business like that. Sometimes, they robocalll to see if you actually live there- or still live there. Sometimes they call to sell stuff like CC protection insurance or whatever. Sometimes they call to offer you more CC's and to see how vulnerable you are to offers. In just about every case, they record their findings and adjust your Interest Rate accordingly! I used to have 6-7 Credit cards, and each month, each one would make a credit check to see how my credit was or whatever. The next month, my interest rate would go up and when i asked 'why" all they said was "too many inquiries". Each CC co was making sure I'm still around- especially if i don't use their card this month, and then by the time all 6 get together my interest rates went from 6.9% to over 32% and I always paid every biill on time always. But I ended up going into bankruptcy because of the CC Co.'s raising my credit rates - just to teach them not to raise my rates! In the end, they didn't get ANY of the money I owed them and it was totallly their fault! If you get sick of these calls, you have to go to Each Credit Card and Opt OUT, but if you are with Capital One, they will still bug you, etc.
You are seriously misinformed about these calls.. They have nothing to do with your current credit card accounts. They are an independent company trying to get you to do business with them. I have had credit cards for over 30 years, I have never received calls like these until lately. This is another SPAM type call.
I have no credit card - so why would they be calling me? They're just trying to solicit new business and the monitoring agency for the Do Not Call list should be notified of this.
