They did the same thing to me. Would not tell me even the account number. When I asked to speak with a supervisor she got super abusive, threatened to sue me, said I committed fraud. The only thing I got from them is the amount of the debt, which is the same debt I am paying to another company, the same debt I have been called on by at least 3 other companies.
HSBC apparently has sold my debt to SEVERAL different companies.
They called me too and I didn't answer. It funny you said HSBC because I paid two different debt collectors in the past for them. When I was done I ask each of them the acct number. Which were almost identical except for the last digit. The one was one number off. By law they cant collect anything over 6 or 7 years old. If they are legit they can take me to court but until then, I will not answer the phone for them.
Biffer, I love your response but you got to be more specific with the name calling. These no good backstabbing,useless trash streetwalking,[***] are trying to use scams to get off the street. I am not going to help them by falling for their claims but keep posting information about them to help others.
