They called and didn't leave a message. I applied for a BOA credit card, and hopefully this isn't a scam. I guess I should just deal directly with the bank in an instance like this. Thanks for these posts, they help out a great deal.
Got a call but they left no message. I called back and a man answered and said I had reached the "credit department" and asked for my SSN right off the bat. I told him no and he said it was in regard to my recent credit card application. I had applied for a Bank of America charge card two days prior to the call. But i don't make it a practice to give my SSN out over the phone so I said I would just deal with it at the bank. He said "ok well I'll just deny your application then. Thnks a lot" and hung up. Funny thing is I never gave him my name and I called from my work phone so there is no way he could have know who I was. Then only hours later I got a call from a different number all together regarding the same application. Smells like a scam to me.
