got call from 302-458-4399 with recorded message to call back about my recent inquiry. It said from BOA. I was to call back 866-530-9829. Called BOA check and it is a scam. I then called the number and the first thing the man asked was my SS# to pull up my application. Told him I didn't have an application and he asked fo my name to check if someone was applying in my name. Told him that I will deal with bank directly and hung up. Called BOA again to verify that no one is using card or name, which, thankfully, was ok.
I am going to write to my local newspaper editor about this as well as my local homeowner's assoc.

I got an automated message saying they were calling due to my recent inquiry. I had received a CC offer in the mail, and when I tried to complete the app online, it took all my information and then said they would not be able to complete it since the server was down or something to that effect and that I should call them about it. I decided not to. That was 2 days ago and now I'm getting this recording to call them at 800-354-0413. Not going to though.
