I just got a call from this number, I saw my cell light up, but I will not answer calls from numbers I do not know, especially during the day when I am at work. I agree with the previous post, if it is legitimate business, personal or not, they will leave a message. No message, no call back.
A call back to this number gets a prerecorded message that it is Atlantic Steel [?this first name not clear in recording] and Delmarva Power Energywise Rewards Program. I took this call and it was someone calling to say that a technician was in the area and did we want to join the program. I said no, and did have not received a call back. Now that I think about it, this could very well be a scam -- they'd send someone over to get access to the house? Strange that it is from a cell phone, and call was received after 5 pm. Suspicious on all counts.
I just called Delmarva Power in Delaware, and the rep there was not surprised that someone from the company would call from a cell phone. So this might have been a legitimate inquiry. I suggested that they instruct their field/sales reps to program their phones and to leave messages when they call so that people wouldn't start blocking the calls. I doubt anything will come of it.
Second time called, I have read previous comments and whether it is a scam or not, when they can't leave a message then they don't even warrant a call back!
Been getting calls on my cellphone from this number over the past several days. Just called a half hour ago (second time today). Never leave a message.
If this is truly Delmarva Power, and if they want to drum up business, why do they leave a message with details about their programs/offers/etc. Or better yet, advise the customer to call the office for additional details, if interested in participating.
Calls that do not leave messages become blocked numbers. Blocked numbers get ignored. Not very business savvy are they?
