This is Jp morgan/chase bank. All calls coming from that building come up 302-758-1000 no matter if it is card sevice, fraud,or whatever...My husband works in that building as a software engineer and if he calls from his desk phone it comes up the same.
I received a call just now from this number (Dec 8th 6:25pm ET). They asked for me and since I didn't recognize the number I said I wasn't available and asked them if they wanted to leave a message. The woman said "oh no that's okay we'll send him a letter". Didn't say anything else or who they were with.
I did recently apply for 2 credit cards, one might have been Chase and the other was Discover. I believe Chase didn't instant approval me and was supposed to mail me a notice, but haven't received it yet. Maybe she was calling about that????
Concerned that this is a scam. Phone rang but left no message. My mother has recently received a call from someone requesting chase account info and fraudulent charges were made on 3 of her accounts over the course of a week.
Fake call claiming to be from Chase bank - I verified with Chase that this is indeed a phishing fraud and has nothing to do with them.
Notice all the shill postings claiming that the call is real - a sure sign of a fraud. There are numerous reports on 800notes of numbers claiming to be "fraud alerts" from a number of different financial institutions, all with large numbers of shill postings very similar to the ones here - likely part of a widespread fraud campaign:
Numerous other fake number all claiming to be from various banks - all with the same shill postings:
Didn't leave a message, but when called back, claimed to be Chase bank. I called Chase bank and they searched, but have no record of this number. It appears to be a FLATULENT number. If you get a call from this number, DO NOT provide any of your information, just hang up, and call you bank directly and report this phishing scam.
