Caller ID showed Private Caller. The message left was from Jason Reed about a deposition warrant which could be served at my home address or work. Call the originator of the warrant at 302-778-9775 for more information.
When I called the # to tell them not to call my number again, all she said was hello and when I asked who this was, she hung up.
This happened to me today too, except a Brian Fox answered. He flipped out on me cause I was very upset and tried hanging up on me. He told me it was for this loan group DJR Group LLC. I asked for DJR groups contact info and he told me I could find it online. . He says I took out a loan in April 2009 and have check fraud because that account I had at the time I closed out. He was very nasty, told me I could resolve the issue for $500 plus dollars. I am researching all this now and this loan company. Apparently it is a fraud loan company and has alot of dings against them. They have done this to me quite a few times over the years. He told me he'd serve me at my job between 2-4, assuming I work till 5.
And It happened the same EXACT way, A Jason Reed, and the call back was this number. I found a attorney Jason Reed in Brandenton Florida (not sure if you are a florida resident).

My dad who lives 1700 miles away got a call yesterday from someone stating I am up for felony charges for writing a bad check aug 26 2009 to some short term loan. They needed to locate me?? They gave my dad details and an amount of $787. I called 302 778 9775 and some guy Brian answered. Did not state any company name or state the FDCPA attempt to collect a debt disclosure. He said I had a loan for $200 deposited into my account aug 26 2009 from a "debt doctor". Now the cost is up to $800. I've never heard of debt dr or took out this loan. Brian would not give me contact info to this debt dr or tell me who called my dad . Brian never asked for my current contact info which seems odd if u r calling 1700 miles away looking for me??? I read up on this and this appears to be a "payday short term loan scam". From what I read online this year has been flooded with these scammers. I will be calling my bank to order a statement from that time proving I never received and debt dr loan. I also think we should all report this to the BBB. Thoughts????
Also... It is not a felony for defaulting on a loan. And it's illegal for collection companies to make threats about being arrested or speak to a relative. This is a scam. Online says we have all become victims of identity theft and need to report this to our banks and the credit bureaus. Their scam is good but not good enough... Credit reports clearly give current contact info
