My mom just called me to inform me that this Brian Fox fellow has been calling her all morning telling her that there are people out looking for me trying to serve me papers and that they've been to my door 2-3 times today. I've been home and haven't heard anyone at the door. He told her I owe $987 and that if this isn't taken care of I will have to appear in court on felony charges. Any true "attorney" would know that it is illegal to give out information over the to someone other than the individual it is regarding. They've got my mom all torn up about it and I really don't appreciate it. I don't even have a bank account!
Same has happend to me and I fell for it because I did get a loan back in 2010 and I thought I payed them off now just a few months ago this number kept calling my job saying there's a warrent out for me if I didn't pay and would get me for fraud. So now they are taking money out of my checking account each week.
I work for a computer company fixing all sorts of IT problems. An iMac came in to our shop recently with some error on the safari browser. Turns out, it was a spam site asking me to call 1-844-743-5318 for technical support. I knew it was a scam, so I called just for the lulz. What I got was some arrogant foreign man asking what was wrong with my computer and how he could help to fix it. Half way through i hung up on him, and he called me back using this exact number (1-302-778-9775) asking to continue helping me with my computer problem. Told him nobody called from this number, and he hung up instantly.
Looks like who ever these guys are, they have a broad spectrum of scams going on. Not just debt collecting, but solving "technical issues" as well. Wouldn't be surprised if they stole your information while they were at it.
