Senior citizens are primary targets of these pests. Please, educate your senior kinfolk and friends to take a second to look at the caller ID. (Let us hope they have Caller ID.) If they see a name and/or number they do not recognize, they should not pick up the call. Thanks.
I did but I didn't pick it up and haven't had it since, Never pick any phone #'s you don't recognize. Even if they say nothing and hang up, they now have what they call a "live" number and it will be passed on to other telemarketers. There are thousands of these numbers so try getting some type of call blocking phone either land lines (Panasonic) or cell, my cell already has a blocking device on it. Good Luck
Yes - we've gotten calls showing our own number and name. Obviously impossible. DON'T ANSWER!! If you do, the robo caller knows it's reached a "live" number.
Never call these numbers back! This just shows a person at your number is alive and responsive. They pass your number on and you will get even more telemarketer calls.
