Senior citizens are primary targets of these pests. Please, educate your senior kinfolk and friends to take a second to look at the caller ID. (Let us hope they have Caller ID.) If they see a name and/or number they do not recognize, they should not pick up the call. Thanks.
The spammers phoned a few minutes ago. They didn't leave a message.
After reading comments, the call was most likely for the back/knee brace scam.
No one here is on SS, or any public assistance. We don't need any such braces either.
I spoke to one 'brace' spammers in the past...told her to remove our number from their list.
She promised to do so. lol. They still call.
What really pissed me off is I was busy when they phoned. With Christmas three days away, there's still a lot to be done. I had to stop what I was doing, in case the call was important.
I see back/knee brace commercials while watching 'x' TV shows. Is it possible they somehow get our numbers via TV?
Caller didn't leave a message on my machine and the caller id said "Pain Center". The 302 area code is from Delaware which is bad sign. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 different types of traces and all were completely. No person or business name, no location (not even a state), and no service provider was found. This is usually a sign that the call originated from a foreign country and then they spoofed a dead number. This is a scammer phishing for personal information under the guise of some type of scam (i.e. Pain Relief, Free Back and Knee Braces etc.) Block and report to proper authorities. DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON AND DO NOT ANSWER.
