Do yourself a favor, go after the source of the provider of this number. It's either a "network", communications network or "manager" They are the ones that sell, share or rent our info. It's the provider that we need to go after since FTC has failed to do that. Be an active consumer that goes after the source. The FTC is too "overwhelmed."
I received a call on my landline phone display that showed as "Arvada, CO" (where I do have friends), so I picked it up. The recording offered a "free cruise just for answering a short survey." I've seen enough posts (thank you!) to recognize this--and similar calls from several different numbers--as a scam. Have blocked these people yet again. An acquaintance of my husband actually responded to the offer several months ago and was high-pressured for a credit-card number "to hold his place on the cruise," before hanging up in disgust. Then the harassment REALLY escalated, with calls to his phone every hour. Definitely a scam. Beware.
Received this call from Colorado for a short scientific survey for which they say that you have won a free Bahama cruise for two. Not fond of surveys or cruises.
