That's EXACTLY what all these "Google" calls are about . I've said over and over, they aren't actually Google, but when pressed (hard) they admit to being a Google "partner" - what I don't know is if they're actually in partnership or they simply charge you a bunch of money for a poorly built Google AdWords campaign. Google is a huge name and you'd hope they would do something about this never-ending stream of interruptions, time wasters, and scammers. It must bring in enough revenue that Google won't do anything to protect their customers. They've become another version of Microsoft, a MONOPOLY.
THIS COMPANY IS TOTAL FRAUD!! They will not give the name of the company. They are very defensive if you ask, and worried if you are going to put them in jeopardy.
They have called us as many as 3-5 times a day, supposedly trying to sell Google maps services to me. When I have declined at least 3 times a week for the past 4 months, I was told by Michael that he is putting my name and number in the trash because that is where I belong. And then told me off. When tried to call their supervisor Mr. Richards or was it Mr. Robert Evans???), by George and Erik both, no one could tell me anything about their company marketing name, because they did not want to loose their jobs.

Recording saying its a call back as I was having issues with my google listing and they apologized that it took so long to call back... please I called no one. so sick of all of these google scams! I hung up.
These scammers call non-stop. When you request to be put on the do not call list or ask what the name of their company is they automatically get very rude and defensive. When you call them out on being a scam and ask for a supervisor they just argue with you. They hung up on me so I called back to get a manager and the guy who answered the phone was the most ignorant piece of garbage I've had the displeasure of speaking with in my life. Told me he didn't care if i was Hitler (his actual words) and not to flatter myself into thinking they call our business non-stop - but they do and i have the phone records to prove it. Next time one of these telephone tough guys call my lawyer and the authorities will be involved
Not only will they NOT remove your number from their list, they'll be sure to call you even more. And to sell the number to their scamming cohorts. I had one tell me to just sign up and they'd stop calling. Seriously, why would they think anybody would "sign up" with these tactics?
