Not only will they NOT remove your number from their list, they'll be sure to call you even more. And to sell the number to their scamming cohorts. I had one tell me to just sign up and they'd stop calling. Seriously, why would they think anybody would "sign up" with these tactics?
Denver CO Robocall returning call about a google maps issue, connected to rep, hung up on me. Called back and company claims to be Google Maps Optimization Team, when questioned about business name lied and said they are a google partner, would not give me valid information. That's EXACTLY what all these "Google" calls are about . I've said over and over, they aren't actually Google, but when pressed (hard) they admit to being a Google "partner" - what I don't know is if they're actually in partnership or they simply charge you a bunch of money for a poorly built Google AdWords campaign. Google is a huge name and you'd hope they would do something about this never-ending stream of interruptions, time wasters, and scammers. It must bring in enough revenue that Google won't do anything to protect their customers. They've become another version of Microsoft, a MONOPOLY.
They called are offices today, we're a certified Google Partner. Message said it was a call back to our reaching out to them about our listings on Google not showing. First thing I said when talking to the guy was that we are a certified partner with Google and did not reach out to them so the message was a straight out lie. Was then told "You get people the same way" and I told him we don't. We have ads running online, but we don't auto-call people and tell them they have issues. We let people reach out to us and then research the problem. He then told me, "Oh your (company name), we've already gotten several of your clients so you can stop there." When I asked "Really? Which ones because I haven't had any cancel in a few years" he hung up the phone. I hate companies like this because it makes the rest of us look bad.
